Mark Bettinson, broker/owner of EXIT Premier Real Estate in Burlington, Massachusetts has been practicing real estate Marketing and Sales since 1994. Since graduating from Ithaca College in 1978, he has enjoyed success in multiple arenas. He began his career as a Physical Therapist, training as a Certified Practitioner of Rolfing, and worked as a successful top producing Sales Agent at two real estate offices prior to buying into the Exit Franchise. Mark enjoyed his career in the health related fields before the days of “managed care”, but chose to enter into Real Estate Sales in order to grow a business autonomously when physical therapy became more heavily invested in “paperwork” than in patient care. Within the physical therapy world, he valued patient contact above “business”. Carrying that same philosophy with him into the world of real estate brokerage, he still values the feelings and genuine concerns of his agents and clients over the bottom line profit. In fact, Mark considers his true profession to be facilitating the personal growth of those that he works with. He is a strong believer in the Power of Positive Thinking, and has personally demonstrated this concept through his successes. His office has grown to over 30 agents in five short years. He is particularly proud of the fact that there are so many agents succeeding in his office as this stands in contrast to most real estate offices where only one or two agents tend to dominate the landscape. Mark believes that Real Estate sales is different from so many other forms of “salesmanship” in that the consumer will not be “pressured” to purchase real estate by any agent. He views his job more as an educator and consultant than as a salesman and insures that no one feels pressured to make a decision ahead of his or her own time frame when they are working with him. Born and raised in Burlington, MA, Mark still lives in town in the family home that he bought from his parents 12 years ago. He has two sons in college and one son entering his senior year at Burlington High School. Mark’s interests include astronomy, astrology, ice hockey (he plays weekly to this day) and psychology. Mark looks forward to continuing to serve the community for many years to come, providing more opportunities for those who would enjoy a rewarding career in real estate as well as continuing to represent buyers and sellers in the sales or purchases of their homes.
